On-line Appointment Scheduling:

Contacting a Theraphone Counselor

To schedule a confidential counseling session on-line, click here. After you have scheduled your appointment on-line, call 1-866-856-TALK at your scheduled appointment time to begin your session.

You may also schedule an appointment by telephone at 1-866-856-TALK. Leave your name, phone number and preferred time to be contacted and a Theraphone counselor will return your call to schedule your appointment.

How to Prepare

Counseling by phone is most successful when callers find an area in their home or office that is quiet and free from interruptions. This will help enhance your ability to concentrate and reduce the concern that others may overhear your discussion. The appointment is yours to discuss topics of your choosing. You might find it helpful to jot down some of the main concerns you would like to address with your counselor before the start of the conversation.

Session Length

The length of you session is something that you may decide, and you will only be billed for the time you designate to speak with your Theraphone counselor. Your session may be as short as 10 minutes or as long as 1 ½ hours. It is up to you. Theraphone does not have appointments lasting longer that 1 ½ hours because sessions with time limits are understood by industry standards to be more focused and therefore more effective.

How Often Can I Call?

There are no limits to how often you call. You may want to call just once or on a regular basis. You can decide what level of relationship is right for you.

Restrictions

Theraphone reserves the right to terminate a conversation with any person using abusive or sexually explicit language directed at the Theraphone counselor, and payment for these conversations will not be refunded. Additionally, Theraphone will immediately contact the authorities if a caller states they intend on hurting themselves or another person as is required by mandatory reporting laws.
